President Donald Trump-led administration in US on Tuesday reportedly announced it is repealing Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), an Obama-era regulation, aimed at protecting the undocumented immigrants brought to the US as children. Reportedly, this would mean that an estimated 800,000 people, including nearly 8,000 Indian Americans, are facing deportation. However, the announcement is expected to face a judicial challenge, say reports.

US President Donald Trump has reportedly planned to visit Texas on Tuesday to survey the response to devastating Tropical Storm Harvey. Harvey storm has brought catastrophic flooding to Texas killing at least nine people and led to mass evacuations. “My administration is coordinating closely with state and local authorities in Texas and Louisiana to save lives, and we thank our first responders and all of those involved in their efforts”, Trump told reporters.
