CSK clarifies about retaining Suresh Raina

As Chennai Super Kings gears up for a grand return to the IPL, the CSK management has made an important clarification. Earlier, media reports suggested that CSK wants to retain MS Dhoni, Ravichandran Ashwin and Faf du Plessis and the star left-hander Suresh Raina might be left out. Dhoni doesn't want youngsters to play ‘Helicopter Shot’

Former Indian captain MS Dhoni reportedly said that he would not want youngsters to try such shots due to the chance of getting injured. When asked about his trademark helicopter shot during an event, "In tennis ball cricket even if it's hit from the toe of the bat the ball still travels a lot but in normal cricket, it has to be the middle part of the bat, so it requires a lot of work. I don't want them to play helicopter shots because they could get injured."

Dhoni finally opens up about retiring from cricket

Following recent criticisms by several people that Indian cricketer MS Dhoni should quit T20 cricket and make way for younger players, the Indian cricketer finally opened up. According to Khaleej Times reports, he said, “Everybody has views in life and it should be respected”. He further added that, “You can play for one year to 15years, some play 20years, but in the lifespan, let’s say you live for 70years, 10 to 15 years is nothing and that’s the only time that you can proudly say that I’m representing my country.”

SL fan interrupts Dhoni's net session to take selfie

According to a report in The Times of India, a Sri Lankan fan managed to get past security and interrupt India's practice session to take a selfie with MS Dhoni. The fan reportedly first went to Rohit Sharma, mistaking him for Dhoni then pointed towards the area where Dhoni was practicing. The fan took a selfie and was escorted out of the area by Indian support staff. Notably, Dhoni will make his 300th ODI appearance on Thursday.

India spinner Kuldeep Yadav reportedly said that there is no one better to judge his bowling than former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. "There is no word to describe MS Dhoni's influence on a young bowler like me", Kuldeep said. "There is no one better than him to judge you because he is watching from behind the wicket and he keeps telling me what I need to. No one can replace MS Dhoni at this point: Sehwag

Former Indian opener Virendra Sehwag reportedly said that there is no one to replace the former captain MS Dhoni in the current Indian setup. "I don't think anyone can replace Dhoni at this point of time. Rishabh Pant is good but he would also need time to replace him. But that can only happen after 2019. It's then when we should think about Dhoni's replacement. Till then let Pant gain experience", Sehwag reportedly told.
