Several members belonging to the Dalit community from Karumathampatti village near Coimbatore on Monday reportedly alleged that powerful members of another community have refused to give them space to bury their dead in the local graveyard. The members of the Dalit community also gave a petition to the District Collectorate about this caste discrimination. Notably, the representatives had already approached the Tahsildar in this regard, but the authorities have reportedly turned a deaf ear.
