Following the three-week-long stand-off between India and China over the border dispute, Chinese state-run newspaper Global Times has said that New Delhi must be taught a “bitter lesson.” The newspaper in its editorial on Wednesday added India “will suffer greater losses than in 1962” if war were to break out now. The editorial also accused India of “acting shamelessly before the international community”.
