After the merger of OPS and EPS factions, OPS has sworn in as the Deputy CM, according to media reports. He took oath in Raj Bhavan, Guindy in front of TN Governor Vidyasagar Rao. Former TN Education Minister Mafoi Pandiarajan also took oath as the Minister of Tamil Language, culture, and archaeology. Reportedly the removal of V.K.Sasikala as the party's general secretary would be announced after a general council meeting.
