Metro slashes up to 50% on Independence Day

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has decided to slash fares up to 50% across various categories based on the distance travelled, on the occasion of India's 71st Independence day on Tuesday. This is reportedly the first time Delhi Metro has reduced fares to mark a national holiday. Further, parking lots in metro stations will remain closed till 2p.m. tomorrow.
