According to reports, a court in Barcelona reduced the prison sentences of tax fraud convicts Argentine forward Lionel Messi and his father, Jorge Horacio. Notably, the Barcelona forward and his father were convicted of hiding image rights royalties in offshore accounts and had been given suspended jail terms of 21 and 15 months respectively. However, the local court in Barcelona overturned their jail time into fines, with Messi will pay 252,000 Euros and his father 180,000 Euros.
