The consumer disputes redressal commission of Tamil Nadu on Thursday reportedly wrote a letter to the state government seeking additional district forum for south Chennai. The officials have alleged that more than 8,960 cases are pending across Tamil Nadu, whereas over 2,000 of them are from Chennai. Notably, the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has earlier advised the states to open more offices wherever more than 250 cases are pending.
