KUMBAKONAM FIRE ACCIDENT - JULY 2004
A fire broke out at the primary section of a school in Kumbakonam town in Thanjavur district and a total of 94 students in the school were charred to death in their classrooms. This is one of the largest school accidents in Tamil Nadu.
