All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake up in the day to find it was vanity, but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible

TE Lawrence's words in the book Seven Pillars of Wisdom aptly describes the story of a young man Venkidi (Prithviraj) from Kerala who dreams of flying in a self-made airplane. In life, it is hard to find your true passion, but the path towards the fulfillment of the dream is a harder voyage. Vimaanam is about the struggles Venkidi goes through in his attempt to touch the sky and to emerge victorious in love. Does he finally fly? Or do his efforts go in vain? Watch the movie and find out.

Produced by Listin Stephen and directed by debutante Pradeep M Nair, Vimaanam has Prithviraj, Durga Krishna, Alencier, Sudheer Karamana and Anarkali Marikar playing the lead roles. Everyone has chipped in their best, especially Prithviraj who shoulders the weight of the movie effectively. Durga Krishna stands out with her natural acting.

Music is known as the key to human emotions. With his music, a powerful musician can successfully slide his audience into every emotion at his will. Inspirational movies hugely depend on its music to impart its true emotion into the audience's mind. Gopi Sunder's good compositions do justice to the film and help it to attain high levels of proficiency.

The debutante writer-director succeeds to weave the plot of the story engagingly despite having many cliched characters and storylines in it. To be frank, the movie is actually the love story of Venkidi and Janaki. The technical aspect of building an airplane has been convincingly portrayed on screen, and this combined with a topnotch direction, and effortless performances make Vimaanam a worthwhile entertainer.

The cinematography of the movie has been handled by Shehnad Jalal and is exceptionally good. The aerial photography is a requisite element of the movie, and it has succeeded in capturing the beautiful landscape. Overall, the movie is a good alloy of an inspiring movie and a love story.

Verdict: Vimaanam fueled by passion and love is bound to fly high
