RACE 3 CAST & CREW
Production: Salman Khan Films, Tips Films Cast: Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah, Jacqueline Fernandez, Salman Khan, Saqib Saleem Direction: Remo DSouza Music: JAM8, Meet Bros, Vishal Mishra Background score: Salim Sulaiman Cinematography: Ayananka Bose Editing: Rameshwar S. Bhagat

After the massive box office success of Race and Race 2, the makers are back with Race 3! This time, with a different cast, and a completely different story. Mind you, this 3rd installment is not a sequel to the initial two parts. They only retain the same title, and also mention that the race will continue. Race 3 stars Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem. It is written by Shiraz Ahmed and directed by Remo D'Souza.

Based completely outside India, Race 3 concentrates on family, love, betrayal, lots of money, stunning guns and exorbitant cars! Shamsher Singh (Anil Kapoor)'s family deals with weapons and he trusts his son Sikandar Singh (Salman Khan) to execute a heist that involves a huge amount. A host of truths are uncovered as the story moves forward! Now let us try to uncover some truths about the film!

As expected, the film constantly traveled on high-speed chases, high voltage (unbelievable) stunts, some cliched punch dialogues, and way too many songs! The screenplay seemed to follow a pattern - Dialogue - song - fight - This pattern kept repeating from the first scene to the last. Of course, when we have a hero who can defy inertia and logic, do we expect too much sense? Salman Khan shoots, jumps, and flies at will, and you dare not question. Anil Kapoor does a neat job, while Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah, and Saqib Saleem struggle to express! Then we have a Bobby Deol trying to make a mark. He tried well!

The best part about Race 3 was the visuals! Ayananka Bose, the cinematographer, has made complete use of the skyline in the cities that they shot. The film looks extremely lavish and also has a few impressive shots. A major drawback is that the movie is filled with songs. There are way too many of them! At the end of the film, nothing sticks in your head. Salim Sulaiman's background score is fine and it fit the bill. Though mostly lacking logic, Stunt coordinator Tom Struthers has done a fairly impressive job with the fight sequences, as they looked interesting. There are many twists and turns in the story, but nothing seems to thrill or shock you. The lack of excitement is what will bring down the engagement factor. With the film running for a total of 160 minutes, one might find many sequences to be unnecessarily elongated.

Will Salman be a part of the next Race? Even Bhai doesn't know. But on the whole, if you're a crusader for no-logic action, and extravagant scenes, Race 3 might work for you!

Verdict: They aren't cracking many jokes, but you may still laugh! Salman Khan's screen presence wasted in yet another no-logic film
