Salman Khan's Wanted team acquitted of plagiarism charges

Vijay's blockbuster Pokiri remake in Hindi featured Salman Khan in the lead with Prabhu Deva himself directing the film titled as Wanted. The film went on to recreate Salman's charisma on screen and is said to be his comeback film.

Post the release of Wanted, the makers of the film Boney Kapoor, Sridevi, Prabhu Deva, and Salman Khan were booked in a case of alleged copyright infringement and plagiarism. A notable director Birbal Singh Rana alleged that Wanted was a copy of his script 'Raja Bhai IPS'. He claimed that he had written the script and approached Boney Kapoor to bankroll the project, but did not get any positive feedback. It was only when Birbal saw Wanted, he realized his work had been copied and later he filled a case.

Now, finally, after seven long years, the court gave its final verdict in the case. It favored the team of Wanted and acquitted them from all charges.

Talking about this to a North Indian media, Boney Kapoor said he had finally won the case after seven years. When asked about the sequel to the blockbuster Wanted, he told that he would do it provided if he comes across suitable script and also if Salman Khan accepts to do it.

Salman Khan, on the other hand, is very choosy about his scripts and Wanted 2 is not a bad idea of selection in the current trend. Sallu Bhai in cop avatar with those daring attitude will spark the screens isn't it? Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope there is Wanted 2 shortly.
