Arun Govil, who played the iconic character of Lord Rama in Ramanand Sagar's 'Ramayan' took to his Twitter account and shared that Shyamsundar Kaalaani, who played the role of Sugriva and Bali in the epic saga has passed away.
He noted on Twitter: Sad to know about demise of Mr. Shyam Sundar who played the role of Sugreev in Ramanand Sagar’s “Ramayan”... A very fine person and a gentleman. May his soul rest in peace.
The actor passed away on April 7 after battling cancer. Notably, the entire country has been re-hooked to Ramayan after it was decided that it would be re-telecast, courtesy the lockdown that has been enforced owing to the Coronavirus pandemic.
