KAJOL ASKED DHANUSH AND SOUNDARYA TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER ACTRESS ON HER FIRST DAY OF SHOOT

Kajol in her recent interview to a Bollywood media said that she wasn't ready to do a straight Tamil film when Soundarya Rajinikanth and Dhanush approached her for VIP 2. However, the actress said if they still want to narrate the script, she is fine to hear it. Soundarya and Dhanush who then met Kajol in Mumbai narrated her the script. Ater hearing the script, Kajol was overwhelmed by her role and the script, but the actress was still hesitant to accept as it was a Tamil film and she felt there would be language barriers.

Later, Soundarya and Dhanush convinced her by saying that half of her dialogues would be in English and another half in Tamil and she will be able to manage it. Kajol then accepted to do the film. On her first day of the shoot, she was handed over two-page dialogues in Tamil. Kajol then walked up to Soundarya and laughingly asked her to look for another actress instead of her. Dhanush who then joined the conversation said she would be able to deliver it and helped her to get her lines correctly.

Kajol said that her role is very different from that of any other films of her in the past and she is thrilled to see herself in Tamil cinema after two decades.
