Q:
How do you approach a project?
Raju:
I get the visuals first and scan them fully.
Then, we decide on the right mix of sounds.
We add the effects in order to blend with the
visuals.
Q: How has audience expectations changed?
Raju:
They have become more specific. For example,
punches in fight scenes now a days cannot succeed
with the usual dishum sound. We need what is
called flesh tone.
Q:
How about Rajinikanth’s films?
Raju:
I have worked in Siva, Annamalai, Badshah and
Baba. Badshah was a superhit and I enjoyed working
on the effects for the twirling finger mannerism
for Rajini in that film.
Q:
What is the secret of your success?
Raju:
I approach my work with sincerity. I strive
hard to complete the work before the deadline
so that the producers are happy. I cooperate
with the directors and ensure complete satisfaction
for them.
Q:
What would you like to tell the viewers of behindwoods?
Raju:
I thank behindwoods giving me an opportunity
to talk to the viewers.
