Mahanadigan Review:

Sathyaraj's another masterpiece...

The sathyaraj starring "Mahanadigan" features various artists and directors who act as artists in the film. The cast include Manoj, Ramesh Kanna, P Vasu, Raj Kapoor, Visu, D P Gajendran, Chitra Lakshmanan, Alex, Mano Bala, K N Kaza, Vinu Chakravarthy, Srikanth, M Kaja Maidheen, V Gnanavel, Murugan, Jain Raj Jain, Bailvan Ranganathan, Thirai Neethi Selvam, etc...

The heroines of the film are Nameetha, Mumthaj and Mallika...

Story starts as Sathyaraj stars in the role of the self centered but intelligent fellow. Like his previous film "Amaidhi Padai", where he will start of as a beggar and rise to a minister, this film will also feature him in a role similar to that.

He joins as a watchman to Visu's house. Then he slowly shows his real face and becomes the owner of the house making Visu the watchman in return. Afterwards the quest for money and prestige for him increases by leaps and bounds, he goes on to become a top actor dumping the already existing star, then he goes into the ministry and dumps the ministers one by one and becomes the Chief minister.

While most of Sathyaraj's doings in the film, feature him as a villian such as the film "Amaidhipadai", it was the climax that makes the difference. He dumps each and every corrupted ministry members and finally shows himself as a good person.

Why this change? may occur as a thought to the viewers, the answer lies in the flash back which features Manoj as the hard core fan for the "actor"  Sathyaraj, who involves himself in various activities that involves violence and literally make him loose his arm in one such fights which involve a political background. Even in that situation he helps his sister's daughter to become an I.A.S officer, within his limited salary and his handicapped situation. He has achieved the target of bringing her out to an I.A.S officer. Sathyaraj who comes to know this incident becomes a little bit upset and a thought to oppose the politicians comes into his mind. Then comes the rest of the story of becoming a politician through his "talents" and making each and every politician pay for his act.

Manoj, in particular has done his role well. Like the sudden popularity of actor karthik in the film "Agni Naksathiram", this film has highlighted Manoj's real talents in his acting career. Note the industry has to make use of such an actors talents then letting it go waste in the water.

Another thing is about the physique of Manoj. He has to drop on a little of his extra pounds to come out in shape.

The film is of a usual Sathyaraj type, meaning - filled with lots and lots of Sathyaraj's trademark "Nakkal", "Naiyandi", etc...

He literally makes fun of each and every political organization in the state, so there is no chance of stamping him a dependent to a particular party. The story line was well handled by the director Sakthi Chidambaram. He also takes care of the screenplay, story and the dialogues.

The film is a must see for all the people. The film is a nice socialized movie with the acting superiority of Sathyaraj.
