  Chandramukhi is undoubtedly the biggest hit of the year. It is running to capacity crowds even 150 days after the
 
release. The silver jubilee celebrations are slated for October 1. It will be held at the University of Madras’ Centenary Auditorium. Meanwhile, the accessories used by the stars in the film were auctioned through the Net. The minimum price was fixed as follows: one pair of Rajini’s pants and shirt – Rs. 7000, Rajini’s costume as king – Rs. 30,000, Jothika’s Chandramukhi costume Rs. 38000 and Nayantara’s Konja neram sari Rs. 18000. Ramkumar, the producer, announced that the proceeds would go to charity on behalf of Sivaji Prabu Trust. There was brisk bidding within a few hours and fans from around the globe participated. A bidder from France won Rajini’s sunglasses for Rs. 25000.
