Devayani is the top star in television these days with the superhit serial, Kolangal. Yet, she has repeatedly turned

down all offers to act in Tamil films. She has worked in only one Malayalam film opposite Mohanlal titled Naran. The film is slated for an Onam release. Popular director Joshi has led the film’s crew. When asked whether she would choose more films in Malayalam, she said that her options are open, but she does not want to act in Tamil films.
