Chezhian has filed a defamation case against her citing her interview in which she had made malicious remarks about him. These comments had degraded his standing and caused much anxiety. Therefore, he had approached the Madurai bench of the Madras High Court. The court ordered Ramba to appear, but her counsel filed an application that she was in hospital in Kakinada. The judge adjourned the case and asked her to appear on September 5.
