Selvaragavan Interview:

Selvaragavan on his new film...

Selvaragan is going to direct his new film with his younger brother Dhanush as its hero. The name of the film is "Pudhupettai", and the shooting is to be started by the month of February.

Q: Did you believe that your previous venture "7/G Rainbow Colony" will be a success even though it was a lengthy film?

Selvaragavan: Any film with a good story line, screenplay and direction will be a hit film. This is a fact, and that fact has come into play in my film this time. I didn't expect that my film be such a big hit. But the film's success was more than I ever expected.

Q: Did you find it difficult to work with the new hero in your film?

Selvaragavan: Yes I did found it difficult to work with the new hero. But not many heroes here are at the age of twenty and I cannot keep on having Dhanush as my hero. It will be monotonous then. So, I had to take a risk of having a new hero.

Q: Are you not satisfied with your film then?

Selvaragavan: Yes, I was not satisfied. I once gained satisfaction through "Kadhal Konden". But in this film, I was satisfied only on the last forty minutes of the story. Now a days we have to add many commercial items to the story to make it successful in the field, and I don't like it. I want my story to be taken as it is. I feel very bad when I think that Hollywood movies are far more superior than our movies.

Q: Why didn't your brother Dhanush' last three film's are not a big success?

Selvaragavan: Not every big hero is successful in their successive films. Dhanush is a true artist. He really jumped from the cliff for "Kadal Konden", and though he is hurt from the jump, he managed to act in a dance sequence. People will not forget such type of people. He will surely be successful again.

Q: Dhanush got married before you. When is your marriage?

Selvaragavan: Dhanush is very much satisfied with his life so he is happily married. I'm not yet satisfied with what I got. I am busy with one Telugu film, Two Hindi films and a Tamil film, which will keep me busy for at least three years. If I have time in between, I will think about my marriage then.
