INCREDIBLES 2 CAST & CREW
Production: Pixar Animation Studios , Walt Disney Pictures Cast: Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell Direction: Brad Bird Music: Michael Giacchino Cinematography: Mahyar Abousaeedi Editing: Stephen Schaffer

After a 14 year long hiatus, Disney Pixar is back with the sequel to one of the most popular animated superhero films, The Incredibles. This film is written and directed by Brad Bird, and has the likes of Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell, Samuel L. Jackson and Bob Odenkirk, as part of the voice-cast. Tired of the extremely long wait for the sequel? Read ahead to find out how the film has fared.

Though it has been 14 years since the predecessor released, the director has not taken the time-gap into consideration and the sequel takes off exactly where the first part ended. After convincingly defeating Syndrome, the Incredibles are up against Underminer, and the first part ends right before they fight him. The battle against the Underminer fails, and the authorities are against the legality of the supers as their concern about the damages increases. The Incredibles are ordered to cling on to their secret identities, and a new story takes center-stage.

The quality of animation has definitely improved in this sequel, thanks to the advancements in technology. The comic element, the action and the execution of the idea have worked well as it gives us a nostalgic feeling. The animated expressions are interesting, and it gives us a sense of reality beyond all the unbelievable heroics. Like in the first part, the story doesn't compromise on the family emotions and tries to showcase the lives of the superheroes to manage their urban lifestyle, along with their social responsibilities. The film deals with Elastigirl's supposed superiority, Mr.Incredible's insecurities, Violet's personal life and Dash's immaturity.

Much like its forerunner, the film gives the audience a sense of fulfillment in terms of being an exciting animated feature film. It is full of heart and positivity.  The writing contains the right mix of wittiness and emotion and you never feel like there is something unnecessary. It could be safe to say that this is one of the very few sequels in superhero franchises that has the capacity to satisfy the expectations mounted on it. The editing and framing are seamless, and the background score is very interesting and adds quite a lot of value. The screenplay doesn't allow you to lose coherence at any point as the audience are fed with the right details.

However, the show-stealer is Jack-Jack, the child of the Parr family. The little man has numerous powers and surprises us at every instant! The cute superhero can walk through walls, turn into a fireball or a devil, even enter the 4th dimension, and he can multiply. Well, that is not it as he has not just 3 or 4 superpowers, but 17! He effortlessly grabs the awws and gags with his nature. The villain in this part has an interesting role to play, while we don't see much of Underminer in the rest of the film. This opens up the possibility of a third sequel.

The teamwork of the Incredibles, along with their comrade Frozone is a charm to watch and this one is high on its engagement factor! It doesn't matter what mood you're in, The Incredibles are sure to bewitch you.

Verdict: Jack-Jack steals the show in this delightfully satisfying sequel!
