Sneha, who played the role of the inspirational friend in Cheran’s Autograph, is slowly widening her repertoire. She has matured from playing a simple village belle. She has played the urban working woman and is all set to don the role of a new-age empowered woman fighting society’s prejudices. In a forthcoming film called ABCD she plays a young widow but her character has an interesting twist. She suffers marital violence and declines to sport all the traditional symbols of marriage such as mangalsutra, flower strings, bindi etc. Once her husband dies, she feels released from the clutches of the relationship and resumes wearing the ornaments again. Saravana. Subbiah plays the wretched husband and his real life father plays the role of Sneha’s father in the film.
