When we got to saw Maddy shooting for Thambi we held our breath. It was unbelievable that he was playing the lovable rogue Thambi. Talking of the hero, the director Seeman said that it would be a soul-stirring character seeking peace and brotherhood in a world torn by violence and vendetta. His characterization is universal and his solution to the problems faced by human beings will definitely be talked about. Maddy was cool about the project and said that it was a challenge to play the role of a ruffian with a golden heart. Shot entirely in Chennai, the film unravels some beautiful aspects of this lovely city.
