  Gopika's Diary :

January 18 - Been shopping at T.Nagar and Spencer Plaza. I saw a set of anklets in gold. The design was fascinating. But dad refused citing sentiment (one should not wear golden anklets). I felt sad but agreed with him.

January 19 – 9 a.m. - Been at the shooting of Kana kanden. Had a great time on the sets with Vivek’s jokes. Director K.V.Anand is very patient and encourages me even if I make mistakes.

6 p.m. - Was awestruck by the beautiful gopurams of the Parthasarathy temple at Triplicane where the shooting was on. Also watched people worshipping at the nearby Vinayaka temple. Signed autographs for some onlookers.

Januray 20 – 8 a.m. – Getting ready for the shooting of KK. Received a call from V.M. Vinu that my film, Varusham in Malayalam was a great grosser. Warmed my heart early in the morning.

3p.m. – Received a call from my sister, Glini, who is studying class XII in Trichur. A very bubbly girl. She called up to say that she was bored not having me around for a fight. When both of us are together, there is total chaos. She has been approached by leading producers like A.M.Rathnam and S.A. Chandrasekar but she wants to finish her studies first.

January 21- 8 p.m. – Was busy with the shooting of KK. Spent time with parents playing cards. Dad won as usual.

January 22- 12 noon – Gave an interview to Asianet TV channel to be telecast tomorrow. It was a nice experience because the questions were natural and decent. I spoke of my experience of working in Autograph with Cheran. I also said that my presence in the Tamil industry was due to the success of this movie.

January 23 – 11 a.m. – Been to the Prasad dubbing theatre where Sreeja was dubbing for me in KK. I complimented her for her realistic work. I also discussed an interesting event during the making of the movie. In the dense forests where we were shooting, there were mahogany trees. In one particular tree, I saw several nails driven into it. I wanted to pluck them out. I was stopped from doing so by the locals who said that these nails were used to pin down evil spirits which would be set free if I removed the nails. I had a hearty laugh because I don’t believe in these things.

6p.m- Been to the Toyota showroom in Anna nagar. Was attracted to a particular model. Shall have to buy it soon.
