Sidharth Chandrasekar is the leading theme designer for a movie’s photo shoot hoarding. He is responsible for the works on Vijay’s latest venture Sachein, Surya’s Mayavi etc…
Simbu’s Manmadhan is also one of his works.

Hosting simple photo sessions with the hero and heroines of the respective film is not our job says Siddharth. We come up with a theme which will actually express the way in which a particular character will focus itself in the film. For example, when I was working for the film Sachein, the director of the film said that Vijay’s character in the film is that of a jovial boy and yet with the mindset of a socialist. So we had to think it over in the film’s banner to focus him in such a fashion. Finally, we put him in a military bullet motor cycle and had his shirt dipped with mud.

He was shocked, as we had spoiled his excellent T-Shirt, but was happy when the result came. That is how the invitation pages for the film Sachein got such stupendous photos; photos with a theme.

Similarly, the love subject in Chellame was well expressed in the advertisement as we shot Reema Sen lying in the bed full of beautiful red roses. The photos were very rich on that occasion.

While we advertise for commercial products such as a tooth paste and soaps in thousands, why the same rule doesn’t fit for a film, where we invest crores of money, asks Siddharth
