Jeyam Ravi has signed up for a new film called Rascal. This film is directed by Babu Yogeswaran. In this film, Ravi plays the role of a football player. So a boxing player in M.Kumaran... has now changed into a football player.

The word rascal is used in romantic and anger situations. Similarly this film has both action and romance mixed in the right proportion, so the film was named as Rascal. But all of a sudden, a rule is passed that films should not carry English names. This has put the film Rascal in jeopardy. When the director of this film was asked about this, he said: “We feel sad in missing this nice title, but there are lots of good titles in Tamil, we will surely find a good one soon.”

The life of a football player is portrayed in this film. A football match also takes place in this film which reminds us of the famous Hindi film, Lagaan…
