Wednesday, January 19th,
An incident that shocked Vijay took place on Pongal
day was the suicide of Balamurugan, a fan of Vijay.
Balamurugan has committed suicide because his
parents didn’t give him money to see first
day, first show of Thirupachi. Vijay went to Madurai
on 16th January and visited Balamurugan’s
house in Alwarpuram and consoled his parents and
also gave a cheque of Rs 50,000.
Vijay later said: “I feel very sad for Balamurugan
who has committed suicide for such a silly reason.
Now I am planning to get a statement from all
my fans that they will not take their precious
life under any circumstance”.
In another incident which took place in Kamala
theatre where Vijay’s Thirupachi is being
screened, Vijay was called in as his crazy fans
wanted the theatre authorities to play a particular
song for a second time. Later the actor came to
the theatre and solved the problem.
Nowadays, the fans have a lot of craze on their
heads (Thazhais) and the fans are willing to do
anything for them. People should first know the
difference between the real life and the life
on the silver screen. The actors should advise
their fans not to be hyperactive and repeat this
in the future.
