There are several incidents in our history which have been captured by moviemakers. But they have been adaptations. For example, the MGR-Karunanidhi tussle was gently touched upon in Mani Ratnam’s Iruvar. In a similar vein, young Manoj K. Bharathi is the hero of a forthcoming film called Saduryan. This movie chronicles the life of an actress. A few years ago, actress Vindhya raised a storm when she complained that a film financier had misbehaved with her and tried to molest her. The same incident has been shot for the film without any modification featuring actress Nandana. The role of the recalcitrant financier has been portrayed by the producer of Saduryan. Director Perarasu has also put in a short performance. P.J. Kumar is the director of the film.
