Sridevika played the lead opposite Jai Akash in Ramakrishna. She is now working in Andha Naal Nyabakam. She was approached to play Vijay’s sister in Sivakasi. She agreed at first, but backed out later because she felt that once cast as a sister, she would be flooded only with such roles and not that of the heroine. So, the producer turned to Malayalam industry from where a newcomer would be brought in.
