UTV Motion Pictures and Avni Cine Max, the production house headed by Kushbhu Sundar will produce Masala Café; a film to be directed by Sundar C. Masala Café will be a comic entertainer that has Mirchi Shiva, Vimal, Oviya and Anjali in the lead roles with Santhanam taking charge of the comedy.

Sundar C, apart from wielding the megaphone, has also penned the story and screenplay. Dialogues are by Badri and camera is to be handled by U.K. Senthil Kumar. The music composer is Ebenezer of Kanden fame. Targeted at the youth and family audience, Masala Café will be a summer 2012 release. The film will commence shooting in Kumbakonam from November 2011.
