Jiiva, who was shooting for the Mysskin directed Mugamoodi in Chennai, met with an accident on the sets of the movie. High risk stunt sequences were being filmed in Chennai for Mugamoodi under the auspices of the internationally well known stunt choreographer Tony. During one of the shoots, Jiiva was hit in the neck by a stunt extra accidentally.

He was immediately admitted in the hospital. After first aid, Jiiva was put through numerous tests and it was found that there are internal injuries. He was asked to rest. Shoots are momentarily suspended.
