Genelia has a strong desire to campaign for her father-in-law Vilasrao Deshmukh during the elections. Vilasrao Deshmukh is a former Maharashtra Chief Minister and currently a Union Minister.

The actress says that if her husband and actor Ritiesh Deshmukh permits her, then she would actively campaign for Vilasrao Deshmukh. Genelia has a number of projects on hands and she says that marriage will not stop her from facing the camera.
